Get Ready for Autumn at Beautiful Sonny Acres Farm

Besides being an "Instagram-worthy" destination, Sonny Acres Farms is the perfect trip to kick off the fall season. Located in West Chicago, you'll find a huge spread of pumpkins all shapes and sizes.  Once you've found the perfect pumpkin, be sure to jump on their tractor-pulled wagon ride or go for a camel or pony ride.  If you need even more excitement, there is a haunted barn that's perfect for visitors ages 10 and up. Arrive on an empty stomach, though. You won't be able to resist the food stands cooking up brats and selling sweet treats like taffy apples and spiced cider.  Sonny Acres Farm is located at 28W310 North Avenue. You can visit their website here to find more information about their hours and special events.

Even your dog needs a change of scenery every now and then. Well, you're in luck. Chicago has some of the best dog park areas and it's time you started exploring them! Your beloved pup will be happy you did.

Ohio Place Dog Park

If your dog likes to run, then head over to Ohio Place Dog Park. It's one city block of dog-running heaven. Since the track is mostly made of dirt, it can get pretty muddy when it rains. Good thing your apartment has a doggie spa!

Skinner Park

Though not exclusively a "dog park," this family outdoor destination is dog-friendly. At Skinner Park, there's plenty of room to throw around a ball or two, plus lots of space for you to relax with your pooch.

Wiggly Field Dog-Friendly Area

Wiggly Field is the dog park of all dog parks. As the first official dog park and exercise area in the city, it was built for dogs. Quite a few residents bring their dogs here, so if your pooch is social, it's the perfect place.
